Three Wheeled Buggies

The size and shape of the seat is a further factor to consider. You want the seat to be big enough to allow your child to be comfortable and allow them to lie down. Some three-wheel buggies offer a full lie-flat option while others only allow for a parent facing one.

Larger wheels
Larger wheels means that your buggy will have more stability on rough terrain - perfect for buggies designed for off-road use. Additionally, they allow you to maneuver the pushchair in tight spaces. Many three wheeled buggies feature swivel front wheels to assist you in maneuvering around corners with ease, whereas others are designed for running and have fixed front wheels that lock to increase the speed and stability with the speed at which they can be pushed. Most models come with compact folding options that permit you to take off the front wheels and store them in a more compact manner.
Easy to Manoeuvre
One of the major advantages to a three-wheeled buggy is that it's much easier to maneuver, especially with a child on the way. The way in which they are built means that the front wheels spin at a quick pace and are extremely easy to manoeuvre which makes them perfect for tricky terrain such as parks, cobbles and bumpy pavements as well as dirt tracks.
MFM reviewer Kath tried a 3-wheeler with her infant and toddler and stated: "The Terrain was a delight to maneuver on the ground with the swivel rear wheel particularly useful. I was also impressed with the way it handled kerbs, especially when using the brake operated by hand. I found it to be extremely steady when I was driving downhill or on uneven ground."
The only drawback to this incredible maneuverability is that the larger wheels of the 3 wheel buggy might make it difficult to squeeze into tight spaces. This is something to be aware of if your home area is a city. If this is an issue then a four-wheeled buggy might be the better option for you.
